Carrot and its recognizable, familiar, sweet taste complements so many dishes, soups, salads and stews enriching them with its nutritional value. 

Sliced in cubes, it reduces the time needed for preparation of meals. Therefore, no wonder that in so many recipes the cooks use to call it: mrkvica (deminutive of carrot)

Carrots have a high content of carotenoids, especially beta-carotene, which is important for maintaining healthy heart, blood vessels and eyesight as well as for regulating blood sugar levels.
